Stereotactic radiofrequency ablation as a valid first-line treatment option for hepatocellular adenomas

Gregor Laimer et al.

Summary: This study evaluated the safety and efficacy of stereotactic radiofrequency ablation (SRFA) in patients with hepatocellular adenomas (HCAs). The results showed that SRFA was efficient and achieved a high success rate in treating HCAs. Additionally, SRFA allowed for effective treatment of large and multiple hepatic tumors within one session.

Overall survival and local recurrence following RFA, MWA, and cryoablation of very early and early HCC: a systematic review and Bayesian network meta-analysis

Pankaj Gupta et al.

Summary: The study compared the overall survival and local recurrence following radiofrequency ablation, microwave ablation, and cryoablation for very early and early hepatocellular carcinoma. The results showed that these three methods are equally effective for locoregional treatment of very early and early HCC, and age and tumor size did not influence the treatment effect.

Summary: This study identified the optimal 5mm ablative margin (AM) for single HCC patients undergoing IPTA based on MRI-MRI fusion imaging. A predictive model for local tumor progression (LTP) was developed and validated, showing good performance in individualized prediction and risk stratification.
