Freeze drying under vacuum assisted synthesis of LiFePO4@MWCNTs composite with phytic acid as phosphorus source for advanced Li-storage

Yin Li et al.

Summary: A three-dimensional LiFePO4@MWCNTs composite was successfully prepared using phytic acid as the phosphorus source and a simple solvothermal method, exhibiting excellent electrochemical performance with high initial discharge capacities at different rates. The MWCNTs wrapping around the LiFePO4 particles form a 3D network, enhancing conductivity and electron and ion transport.

Use of phytic acid for selective precipitation of undesirable metals (Al, Fe, Pb) contained in the leachates from hydrometallurgical processes

Julien Comel et al.

Summary: This study investigated the potential of using phytic acid to remove metal ions from acidic leachates, showing that phytic acid could be an interesting alternative precipitation reagent capable, thermodynamically, of removing Al3+, Fe3+, and Pb2+ effectively.
