A novel moss-like 3D Ni-MOF for high performance supercapacitor electrode material

A novel moss-like three-dimensional (3D) Ni-MOF exhibited the highest specific capacity as an electrode material, and an asymmetric supercapacitor (ASC) assembled with this Ni-MOF as the positive electrode showed a high energy density.

Nickel cobalt bimetallic metal-organic frameworks with a layer-and-channel structure for high-performance supercapacitors

Summary: By using L-malic and 4,4'-bipyridine as linkers and Ni and Co as metal centers, a series of bimetallic metal-organic frameworks (MOFs) with layer-and-channel structure were synthesized. The Ni1Co1MOF exhibited outstanding capacitive performance, reaching a capacitance of 1333 F.g(-1) at 2 A.g(-1) and retaining 83% of its performance at 10 A.g(-1), surpassing its monometallic counterparts. The bimetallic MOFs show promising potential as electrode materials for supercapacitors due to their excellent electrochemical properties.
