Multidentate passivation crosslinking perovskite quantum dots for efficient solar cells

Jingxuan Chen et al.

Summary: This study reports a surface surgery treatment of perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) using ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid (EDTA) as a multidentate ligand. The results show that EDTA can remove Pb2+ ions and passivate surface defects of PQDs, thereby improving the electronic coupling. This surface modification significantly enhances the charge carrier transport and reduces nonradiative recombination, leading to a high efficiency of 15.25% in inorganic PQD solar cells (PQDSCs).

Highly Orientated Perovskite Quantum Dot Solids for Efficient Solar Cells

Jingxuan Chen et al.

Summary: A highly orientated PQD solid is achieved by precursor engineering and chemical stripping treatment. The highly ordered PQDs promote charge-carrier transport and reduce nonradiative recombination by decreasing surface trap states. This study provides a feasible approach for constructing high-performance optoelectronic devices.

Phase-Stable and Highly Luminescent CsPbI3 Perovskite Nanocrystals with Suppressed Photoluminescence Blinking

Sumanta Paul et al.

Summary: In this study, stable and highly luminescent CsPbI3 nanocrystals were successfully obtained by modifying the conventional hot-injection method with NH4I as an additional precursor. The excellent characteristics of these nanocrystals, such as the suppression of photoluminescence blinking, could be attributed to the replacement of surface Cs+ with NH4+ ions. These CsPbI3 nanocrystals show great potential for optoelectronic and solar photovoltaic applications.

All-Inorganic CsPbI3Quantum Dot Solar Cells with Efficiency over 16% by Defect Control

Linlin Zhang et al.

Summary: An anion/cation synergy strategy is proposed to improve the structural stability of CsPbI(3) QDs and reduce defects. Zn-doped CsPbI3(QDs show better thermodynamic stability and higher PLQY compared to pristine CsPbI(3) QDs. This strategy enables CsPbI(3) QDSCs to achieve a power conversion efficiency over 16%.

Enhanced Optical Properties and Stability of CsPbBr3 Nanocrystals Through Nickel Doping

Hayeong Kim et al.

Summary: By optimizing the structural and optical properties of CsPbBr3 perovskite nanocrystals through Ni doping, the Ni-doped PNCs demonstrate stronger light emission, higher quantum efficiency, and longer lifetimes. The doped divalent element acts as a defect in the perovskite structure, reducing the recombination rate of electrons and holes and improving stability. Ni:CsPbBr3 PNCs exhibit better efficiency and superior luminance compared to CsPbBr3 PNCs, showing promise for future improvements in display device performance.

Surface matrix curing of inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite quantum dots for solar cells with efficiency over 16%

Donglin Jia et al.

Summary: Inorganic CsPbI3 perovskite quantum dots (PQDs) show high potential for photovoltaic applications, but their surface matrix suffers from deterioration during the purification process. A surface matrix curing (SMC) strategy was introduced to address this issue, significantly improving the optoelectronic properties and stability of the PQDs. The PQDs treated with SMC exhibited enhanced photovoltaic performance, with the highest power conversion efficiency achieved among inorganic CsPbI3 PQDSCs. This work provides valuable insights into surface chemistry of PQDs and offers a new approach for high-performing PQD optoelectronic devices.
