Altering heating area assisted space confined method for growth of large scale and high quality MAPbBr3 single crystal thin films

Changqian Li et al.

Summary: Metal halide perovskite materials with unique crystal and electronic structures exhibit remarkable optoelectronic properties. The carrier transport in perovskite polycrystalline films is easily affected by grain boundaries, while single crystals have lower defect density, higher carrier mobility, and longer carrier lifetime. Ultrathin single crystal films (SCFs) are demanded for photoelectric devices. An improved space confined method is proposed to obtain MAPbBr(3) SCFs with controllable growth kinetics and better optoelectronic performance as planar photo-detectors.

Managing Growth and Dimensionality of Quasi 2D Perovskite Single-Crystalline Flakes for Tunable Excitons Orientation

Marco Cinquino et al.

Summary: A conceptually innovative approach to easily tune the quantum well width in lead iodide perovskite single-crystalline flakes is presented by controlling the supersaturation levels of the precursor solution. Manipulating the number of inorganic layers allows for the orientation of excitons to be modified, with an increase in the number of inorganic layers enhancing the out-of-plane component of excitons. The combined advances in synthesis and optical characterization provide insights into exciton behavior in low-dimensional perovskite, paving the way for the design of materials with improved optoelectronic characteristics.

Heterogeneous Integration of Chiral Lead-Chloride Perovskite Crystals with Si Wafer for Boosted Circularly Polarized Light Detection in Solar-Blind Ultraviolet Region

Xinyuan Zhang et al.

Summary: By growing chiral HOIP single crystals onto silicon wafers, a strong built-in electric field at the heterojunction is generated, providing a driving force for separating/transporting carriers under CPL excitation. The transfer of chirality and significant amplification of circular polarization sensitivity in the transport process lead to an anisotropy factor of up to 0.4 at zero bias, making it the highest among reported CPL-UV photodetectors. This integration of chiral HOIP crystals with silicon technology opens up possibilities for high-performance CPL detectors in the solar-blind UV region and other advanced optoelectronic devices.
