Quantum corrected polymer black hole thermodynamics: mass relations and logarithmic entropy correction

Fabio M. Mele et al.

Summary: In this paper, the authors continue the analysis of the effective model of quantum Schwarzschild black holes. They find that the central singularity is resolved in the quantum-corrected spacetime and quantum effects become relevant at a mass-independent curvature scale. They focus on the thermodynamic properties of the effective polymer black hole and analyze the quantum corrections as functions of black and white hole masses. The study reveals an extremal minimal-sized configuration characterized by vanishing temperature and entropy. For large masses, the classical results are recovered and quantum corrections are negligible.

Mass and spin of Kerr black holes in terms of observational quantities: The dragging effect on the redshift

Pritam Banerjee et al.

Summary: This work elaborates on the development of a general relativistic formalism that allows for analytically expressing the mass and spin parameters of the Kerr black hole based on observational data. The study presents concise closed formulas in the case of equatorial circular orbits, incorporating gravitational dragging effects and azimuthal angle dependencies. The results open new possibilities for parameter estimation studies and can be applied to astrophysical systems beyond Einstein's gravity.

Solar system constraints of a polymer black hole in loop quantum gravity

Yun-Long Liu et al.

Summary: A new polymer black hole solution has been proposed in loop quantum gravity, with the difference from the Schwarzschild black hole being captured by a quantum parameter A. By considering observational constraints from Solar System experiments, effects associated with the parameter A, such as light deflection, Shapiro time delay, and perihelion precession, have been obtained. A parametrized post-Newtonian analysis of this loop quantum gravity black hole has been performed, and the tightest constraint on A has been improved to 0 < A < 4.0 x 10(-6).

Gravitational lensing by a black hole in effective loop quantum gravity

Qi-Ming Fu et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the influences of quantum effects on the weak and strong bending angles of light rays in a black hole under effective loop quantum gravity. It finds that the black hole exhibits different behaviors, such as diverging bending angle and maximum angular separation, with increasing quantum parameter. These findings are significant for understanding the quantum effects of gravity in strong gravitational fields.

Frequency shifts of photons emitted from geodesics of nonlinear electromagnetic black holes

L. A. Lopez et al.

Summary: This study analyzed the frequency shifts of photons emitted from massive particles moving in stable geodesics around black holes with nonlinear electrodynamics. The motion of the photons is influenced by an effective metric and modified by magnetic and electric factors, distinguishing nonlinear electrodynamics from linear dynamics. The frequency shifts for various types of black holes were compared with their linear electromagnetic counterparts to illustrate the differences.

General relativistic formulas for mass and spin of a Kerr black hole in terms of redshifts and orbital parameters

Alfredo Herrera-Aguilar et al.

Summary: By measuring the red-/blue-shifts of photons emitted by stars moving on geodesics around a black hole and their orbital radius, closed formulas for the mass and spin parameters of a Kerr black hole can be derived. Just four observational measurements are needed for a single star orbiting the black hole, and eight or twelve for two or three stars respectively.

Gravitational redshift/blueshift of light emitted by geodesic test particles, frame-dragging and pericentre-shift effects, in the Kerr-Newman-de Sitter and Kerr-Newman black hole geometries

G. Kraniotis

Summary: This study investigates the redshift and blueshift of light emitted by timelike geodesic particles around a Kerr-Newman-(anti) de Sitter (KN(a)dS) black hole. By utilizing the killing-vector formalism and first integrals, the study demonstrates a detailed analysis of the parameters and relationships involved in the redshift and blueshift of photons emitted by geodesic massive particles. The study also provides exact solutions for various orbital dynamics within the spacetime of KN(a)dS black hole, presenting new and elegant formulae for these orbits.

Testing Loop Quantum Gravity from Observational Consequences of Nonsingular Rotating Black Holes

Suddhasattwa Brahma et al.

Summary: This study constructs a rotating spacetime solution in loop quantum gravity using the revised Newman-Janis algorithm based on a nonrotating seed metric, showing the features of rotating black holes in different parameter regions and demonstrating how observational constraints can be applied to fundamental parameters of LQG. The causal structure of the solution is shown to depend crucially on the spacelike transition surface of the nonrotating seed metric, capturing universal features of an effective rotating, nonsingular black hole in LQG.

Redshift of light emitted by particles orbiting a black hole immersed in a strong magnetic field

L. A. Lopez et al.

Summary: This paper analyzes the frequency shifts of light emitted by particles describing stable circular geodesics around a static black hole immersed in an external magnetic field. The presence and strength of the magnetic field affect both the geodesics and the red-blueshifts of the emitted light. Turning off the magnetic field leads to the recovery of characteristic redshifts from particles orbiting a Schwarzschild black hole.

Keagan Blanchette et al.

Summary: This study examines the loop quantum gravity corrections to the Raychaudhuri equation inside a Schwarzschild black hole and near the classical singularity. It shows that the resulting effective equation leads to geodesic defocusing due to the appearance of repulsive terms, preventing the formation of conjugate points, making singularity theorems inapplicable, and ultimately resolving the singularity in this spacetime.

Mass parameter and the bounds on redshifts and blueshifts of photons emitted from geodesic particle orbiting in the vicinity of regular black holes

Ricardo Becerril et al.

Summary: The mass parameter of regular black holes such as Bardeen, Hayward, and Ayon-Beato-Garcia BHs, solutions of Einstein's field equations coupled to nonlinear electrodynamics, is determined using photon redshifts and blueshifts. The study reveals that the motion of photons in these spacetime geometries is not governed by null geodesics, reflecting the direct effects of electrodynamic nonlinearities. Numerical bounds on photon shifts for these regular BH cases are also found.
