Sensitivity Enhancement of Fiber Bragg Grating Accelerometer Based on Short Grating

Summary: We propose and develop a high-sensitivity fiber Bragg grating accelerometer based on a flexible hinge, which significantly improves sensitivity and reliability by optimizing the grating structure. The results show that this structure can effectively detect vibrations in seismic exploration.

Radiation-Induced Degradation Analysis and Reliability Modeling of COTS ADCs for Space-Borne Miniature Fiber-Optic Gyroscopes

Summary: This study proposes a method to measure the safety of commercial off-the-shelf analog-to-digital converters (ADCs) in space-borne interferometric fiber-optic gyroscopes (IFOGs) under the total ionizing dose (TID) effect. By deducing relationships, designing radiation accelerated tests, establishing degradation path models, the reliability of COTS ADCs in IFOGs is determined. The results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed model in ensuring the usability of experimental COTS ADCs for space missions in low-earth orbit (LEO) and geostationary earth orbit (GEO).
