An Asymmetry Field-Effect Phototransistor for Solving Large Exciton Binding Energy of 2D TMDCs

Hyun-Soo Ra et al.

Summary: This study successfully explores the photocarrier dynamics in 2D materials, specifically in the WSe2 layer, using an asymmetric field-effect phototransistor structure. It determines the room-temperature exciton binding energy and enhances photodetection by reducing the recombination rate of photogenerated electrons and holes.

Ti3C2 MXene: A reactive combustion catalyst for efficient burning rate control of ammonium perchlorate based solid propellant

Pengfei Tang et al.

Summary: The research goal is to achieve higher energy storage and controllable energy release in solid propellants. Combustion catalysts are used to modify energy release behavior, but at the expense of lowering the total energy density. A reactive combustion catalyst strategy based on Ti3C2 MXene was developed to improve pyrolysis reaction kinetics and increase energy output in solid propellants.

In-situ TiO2-x decoration of titanium carbide MXene for photo/sono-responsive antitumor theranostics

Dong-Yang Zhang et al.

Summary: In this study, a photo/sono-responsive nanoplatform was developed for photoacoustic/photothermal bimodal imaging-guided sonodynamic therapy (SDT) using TiO2-x nanoparticles synthesized on the surface of two-dimensional MXene. The nanoplatform showed enhanced reactive oxygen species (ROS) generation due to charge trap effect of the TiO2-x nanoparticles and tumor hypoxia relief through localized hyperthermia induced by the Ti3C2 nanosheets. The dual-stimuli nanoplatform achieved substantial cellular killing in vitro and complete tumor eradication in vivo.

Theoretical simulation study on crystal property and hygroscopicity of ADN doping with nitramine explosives (RDX, HMX, and CL-20)

Qiangqiang Lu et al.

Summary: The modification of ammonium dinitramide (ADN) crystal under vacuum conditions was studied through theoretical calculation. The results showed that the crystal structure and properties of ADN can be changed by doping with energetic nitramine molecules, leading to a reduction in hygroscopicity. Among the modified ADN crystals, 1HMX/24ADN was found to be the most suitable scheme for anti-hygroscopicity modification.
