An updated review of the new hadron states

Hua-Xing Chen et al.

Summary: The past decades have seen significant advancements in hadron physics, particularly in the observation of excited open heavy flavor mesons and baryons since 2017. This review provides updated information on the recent experimental and theoretical developments in this field, including the observation of unconventional heavy hadrons, tetraquark states, and hidden heavy flavor multiquark states. Additionally, the review covers progress in understanding glueballs and light hybrid mesons, which are manifestations of the non-Abelian SU(3) gauge interaction in Quantum Chromodynamics at low energies.

Doubly heavy tetraquarks in an extended chromomagnetic model

Xin-Zhen Weng et al.

Summary: Using an extended chromomagnetic model, the masses of doubly heavy tetraquarks are systematically studied, revealing the dominance of color-triplet configurations in the ground states. It is found that the importance of color-triplet configurations increases with the mass difference between quarks and antiquarks. Three stable states below the pseudoscalar meson thresholds are identified.

Doubly heavy tetraquark resonant states

Qi Meng et al.

Summary: The spectrum of the doubly heavy tetraquarks, bb (q) over bar(q) over bar, is investigated in a constituent quark model. Several narrow resonant states are found, including a mixed state of a compact tetraquark and a B* B* scattering state driven by a strong color Coulombic attraction between the bb quarks. In addition, negative-parity excited resonances exhibit similar structures to the lambda-mode of a singly heavy baryon due to the attractive correlation for the doubly heavy diquark.

Triangle singularity in the production of T cc+ (3875) and a soft pion

Eric Braaten et al.

Summary: The double-charm tetraquark meson T-cc(+)(3875) can be produced in high-energy proton-proton collisions. It can be formed by the creation of charm mesons D*+D0 at short distances followed by their binding, or by the creation of D*+D*+ at short distances followed by their rescattering. A narrow peak is observed in the T-cc(+)pi(+) invariant mass distribution, 6.1 MeV above the threshold, with a width of about 1 MeV, due to a charm-meson triangle singularity. Beyond the peak, the differential cross section decreases with the invariant kinetic energy E of T-cc(+)pi(+) as E-1/2. The fraction of T(cc)(+) events accompanied by pi+ with energy less than the mass of pi is estimated to be roughly 3%. The fraction of T(cc)(+) events with T-cc(+)pi(+) in the narrow peak from the triangle singularity could be comparable.

The low-lying hidden- and double-charm tetraquark states in a constituent quark model with instanton-induced interaction

The instanton-induced interaction is considered as the residual spin-dependent hyperfine interaction between quarks. The numerical results show that the masses of several tetraquark states studied are close to those of experimentally observed candidates of exotic meson, suggesting the presence of corresponding compact tetraquark components in those observed states.

Production of Zcs in B and Bs decays

Summary: In this study, we investigate the production of Z(cs)(+) in B+ and B-s(0) decays and evaluate the branching fractions using an effective Lagrangian approach. The estimated branching fractions of B-s(0) -> K- Z(cs)(+) and B+ -> phi Z(cs)(+) are of the order of 10(-4) and 10(-5), respectively. Coupled-channel approach to Tcc+ including three-body effects

Meng-Lin Du et al.

Summary: In this study, a coupled-channel approach is applied to investigate the charged tetraquark state T-cc(+) recently discovered by the LHCb Collaboration. The observed line shape in the three-body (DD0)-D-0 pi(+) channel is fitted to determine the parameters of the interaction. Special attention is paid to the three-body dynamics in the T-cc(+) and it is argued that considering both the pion exchange between the D and D* mesons and the finite D* width is essential for a self-consistent approach. It is found that the T-cc(+) is a hadronic molecule generated by the interactions in the D*D-+(0) and D*D-0(+) channels, with a compositeness parameter close to unity. Additionally, a predicted isoscalar D* D* molecular partner of the T-cc(+) is proposed under certain assumptions.

Stable double-heavy tetraquarks: Spectrum and structure

Masses of doubly heavy tetraquarks with error bars

Eric Braaten et al.

Summary: In the heavy-quark limit, two heavy quarks in a doubly heavy baryon or tetraquark are bound into a compact diquark by their color-Coulomb potential. The doubly heavy hadrons are related to heavy hadrons obtained by replacing the heavy diquark with a heavy antiquark, based on the heavy-quark-diquark symmetry of QCD. Effective field theories can be used to approximate the masses of singly heavy and doubly heavy hadrons by expanding them in inverse powers of heavy-quark masses. The masses of ground-state doubly heavy tetraquarks, predicted to be stable against strong decays, can be determined based on experimental measurements of heavy mesons and baryons, as well as lattice QCD calculations for doubly heavy baryons.
