SERS-based self-calibrating aptamer sensor for selective detection of IL-6

Qian Huang et al.

Summary: This study developed an aptamer sensor based on SERS for the high sensitivity and selectivity detection of interleukin-6 (IL-6). The sensor utilized a recognition-release mechanism and a dual-signal self-calibration model to achieve quantification of IL-6 and avoid environmental interference. It demonstrated reliable and sensitive detection of IL-6 in a clinically relevant linear range and has the potential to be an alternative tool for early inflammation diagnosis.
