Analysis of the conduction mechanisms of the Ni doped apatite-type lanthanum silicate electrolyte ceramics synthesized by the combustion method

Shi Chen et al.

Summary: The nickel doped apatite-type lanthanum silicate LSNO electrolyte powders were successfully synthesized using the urea nitrate combustion method. Nickel doping improved the oxygen ion conduction in the material, leading to enhanced conductivity. The optimal sintering temperature was determined to be 1500 degrees Celsius.

Green Synthesis of Iron-Doped Cobalt Oxide Nanoparticles from Palm Kernel Oil via Co-Precipitation and Structural Characterization

Cedrik Ngnintedem Yonti et al.

Summary: In this study, palm kernel oil was used as a precipitating agent/ligand for the green synthesis of Fe-doped Co3O4 nanoparticles. The synthesis yielded cobalt iron oxide nanoparticles and a nanocomposite material, with particle sizes ranging from 22 to 9 nm. The presence of carboxylate fatty acids in the precursors was confirmed by IR and gas chromatography, and the metallic ratios used in the synthesis were verified by ICP analysis. Analysis techniques such as XRD, EDX, TEM, and ToF-SIMS provided evidence of progressive substitution of cobalt by iron in the Co3O4 crystal structure.
