Temperature-dependent electronic structure and topological property of the Kondo semimetal CeFe2Al10

T-S Nam et al.

Summary: By utilizing first-principles density functional theory (DFT) and dynamical mean-field theory (DMFT) band calculations, it was found that CeFe2Al10 exhibits a topological Kondo insulating nature at low temperatures, with Ce 4f electrons becoming coherent at approximately 150K. This study also suggests a potential topological phase transition in CeFe2Al10 from a topological Kondo insulating phase to a trivial semimetallic phase as the temperature increases.
