Arc-discharge deposition of SWCNTs over SnO2 nanowires for highly sensitive NO2 gas sensor

Chu Thi Xuan et al.

Summary: The emission of NO2 from vehicles in large cities is causing air pollution and endangering human health. This study successfully developed a highly sensitive NO2 gas sensor by depositing single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) on SnO2 nanowires using arc-discharge deposition. The sensor demonstrated good response characteristics to NO2 gas and could detect low concentrations of NO2 in the range of 1-10 ppm.
