Strong decay widths and mass spectra of charmed baryons

H. Garcia-Tecocoatzi et al.

Summary: The total decay widths of the charmed baryons are calculated using the 3P0 model. Both the charmed baryon-(vector/pseudoscalar) meson pairs and the (octet/decuplet) baryon-(pseudoscalar/vector) charmed meson pairs are considered, within a constituent quark model. The masses of the charmed baryon ground states and their excitations up to the D-wave are also calculated using a Hamiltonian model, with parameters fitted to experimental data.

Spectra and Decay Properties of Λb and Σb Baryons

Amee Kakadiya et al.

Summary: In this article, the masses of Lambda(b) and Sigma(b) baryons are studied using the hypercentral Constituent Quark Model(hCQM) with screened potential. The calculated mass spectra are compared with experimental results and other theoretical approaches, and the single-pion strong decay widths, magnetic moments, transition magnetic moments, and radiative decays are also determined.

Identifying the ?b (6100) as the P-wave bottom baryon of JP=3/2-

Hui-Min Yang et al.

Summary: In this study, we investigate the properties and masses of Xi(b)(6100) and its partner states using the methods of QCD sum rules and light-cone sum rules within the framework of heavy quark effective theory. Our results suggest that Xi(b)(6100) can be interpreted as a P-wave bottom baryon and has a partner state labeled as Xi(b)(1/2(-)). Additionally, lambda(b)(5912) and lambda(b)(5920) are identified as partner states of Xi(b)(6100) with J(P) = 1/2(-) and 3/2(-), respectively, and other charmed partner states are also discussed.

Decays of Roper-like singly heavy baryons in a chiral model

Daiki Suenaga et al.

Summary: In this study, a chiral model is presented to describe the decays of Roper-like heavy baryons and light baryons. The axial charges of the heavy baryons are derived based on the chiral model and heavy quark spin symmetry, which control the magnitude of their pion or kaon decays. The study also shows that reasonable values of the axial charges can explain the large decay widths of certain heavy baryons that cannot be explained by conventional nonrelativistic quark models. In addition, the chiral model is applied to predict the decay widths of an undiscovered heavy baryon.

Doubly heavy tetraquarks in a chiral-diquark picture

Yonghee Kim et al.

Summary: The energy spectrum of doubly heavy tetraquarks, TQQ (QQq??q?? with Q = c, b and q = u, d, s), is investigated in the potential chiral-diquark model. The Tbb, Tcc, and Tcb tetraquarks are described as a three-body system composed of two heavy quarks and an antidiquark. Several Tbb bound states are found, and the change of TQQ tetraquark masses under restoration of chiral symmetry is also studied.

Quark-diquark potential and diquark mass from lattice QCD

Kai Watanabe

Summary: This study proposes a new application of lattice QCD to calculate the quark-diquark potential, diquark mass, and quark mass. The HAL QCD method is used to calculate the charm-diquark potential and suggests that the weakening of the attraction may be attributed to the diquark size effect.

Determination of the possible quantum numbers for the newly observed Ξb(6227)0 state

K. Azizi et al.

Summary: The LHCb Collaboration reported the observation of a new excited bottom baryon Xi(b)(6227)(0) and improved measurements related to the previously observed Xi(b)(6227)(-) state. Analysis suggests that Xi(b)(6227)(0) could be the 1P excited state of Xi(b)(5945)(0) baryon, with consistent mass results but unable to determine exact nature and quantum numbers based on mass sum rules alone. Additionally, decay widths of possible excited states to the Xi(-)(b)pi(+) final state were considered, supporting the potential of Xi(b)(6227)(0) as a 1P excited state.

Heavy baryon spectrum with chiral multiplets of scalar and vector diquarks

Yonghee Kim et al.

Summary: Chiral effective theory of scalar and vector diquarks based on the linear sigma model is formulated to describe ground and excited states of heavy baryons with charm or bottom quarks. By constructing a heavy-quark-diquark model and obtaining spectra of Lambda(Q), S-Q, Xi(('))(Q), and Omega(Q), the study compares the negative parity excited states of Xi(Q) (flavor 3) with those of.Q and finds differences due to the inverse hierarchy of the pseudoscalar diquark. The results are compared with experimental data and quark model.

Novel pentaquark picture for singly heavy baryons from chiral symmetry

Daiki Suenaga et al.

Summary: This study proposes a new structure for singly heavy baryons of Qqq (q) over barq in addition to the conventional one, providing a novel picture for heavy-quark spin-singlet and flavor-antisymmetric baryons. Using effective Lagrangian approach, the masses of certain baryons are predicted and a mass degeneracy of parity partners with the restoration of chiral symmetry is discussed. These unique features are not accommodated by the conventional picture of radial excitation in the quark model, providing valuable information for future experiments and lattice simulations.
