Single inclusive hadron production in DIS at small x: next to leading order corrections

Filip Bergabo et al.

Summary: We calculate one-loop corrections to single inclusive hadron production in DIS at small x in the forward rapidity region using the Color Glass Condensate formalism. We show that the divergent parts of the NLO corrections cancel or lead to x evolution of the LO dipole cross section. The remaining finite parts constitute the NLO (alpha(s)) corrections to the LO single inclusive hadron production cross section in DIS at small x.

Probing Parton Saturation and the Gluon Dipole via Diffractive Jet Production at the Electron-Ion Collider

E. Iancu et al.

Summary: We demonstrate that hard dijet production via coherent inelastic diffraction offers a promising approach for probing gluon saturation at the Electron-Ion Collider. The cross section can be factorized into a hard factor and an unintegrated gluon distribution that describes the transverse momentum imbalance between the hard dijets.

Helicity evolution at small x: the single-logarithmic contribution

Yuri Kovchegov et al.

Summary: We calculate single-logarithmic corrections to the small-x flavor-singlet helicity evolution equations derived recently in the double-logarithmic approximation. These corrections are important in correcting the dominant powers of alpha(s) ln(2) (1/x) summed up by the double-logarithmic kernel from [1-3] at small Bjorken x values and with strong coupling constant alpha(s).

Back-to-back inclusive dijets in DIS at small x: Sudakov suppression and gluon saturation at NLO

Paul Caucal et al.

Summary: In this work, the inclusive dijet deep inelastic scattering (DIS) cross-section in back-to-back kinematics at small x(Bj) is computed at next-to-leading order (NLO) in the Color Glass Condensate effective field theory (CGC EFT). The results demonstrate that resummation of small x and Sudakov logarithms can be performed simultaneously in the CGC EFT.

T-odd leading-twist quark TMDs at small x

Yuri Kovchegov et al.

Summary: This study investigates the flavor non-singlet T-odd leading-twist quark transverse momentum dependent parton distributions (TMDs), specifically the Sivers and Boer-Mulders functions. By simplifying the expressions and constructing small-x evolution equations, the leading small-x asymptotics of these TMDs at large Nc are obtained.

Massive Quarks at One Loop in the Dipole Picture of Deep Inelastic Scattering

G. Beuf et al.

Summary: This study calculates the light cone wave functions taking into account the quark masses at one loop accuracy, which allows for more precise description of the splitting of a virtual photon into quark-antiquark states. The obtained wave functions are useful for calculating cross sections in precision probes of perturbative gluon saturation at the Electron-Ion Collider. Additionally, the study derives the dipole picture deep inelastic scattering cross sections for longitudinal and transverse virtual photons with quark masses, solving the renormalization problem in the pole mass scheme.

A novel formulation of the unintegrated gluon distribution for DIS

Renaud Boussarie et al.

Summary: We present a semi-classical description for the inclusive gluon mediated Deep Inelastic Scattering cross section with a focus on the leading powers in both the Regge and Bjorken limits. Our approach allows for a systematic matching of small and moderate xBi regimes in gluon proton structure functions. We introduce a new unintegrated gluon distribution that explicitly depends on the longitudinal momentum fraction x, covering both the dipole operator and the gluonic Parton Distribution Function. By computing the gauge invariant gluon operator on the lattice, it may be possible to probe the energy dependence of the saturation scale from first principles.

Gluon-mediated inclusive Deep Inelastic Scattering from Regge to Bjorken kinematics

Renaud Boussarie et al.

Summary: We propose a new semi-classical approach to high energy factorization for gluon mediated inclusive Deep Inelastic Scattering (DIS), which takes into account the longitudinal extent of the target. We derive a factorization formula based on a partial twist expansion and introduce a new gauge invariant unintegrated gluon distribution which depends explicitly on the Feynman x variable.

Summary: This study revisits the problem of small Bjorken-x evolution of gluon and flavor-singlet quark helicity distributions and proposes a new evolution equation that includes a previously missing gluon operator. The study also constructs closed double-logarithmic evolution equations and provides numerical solutions for the small-x asymptotics of the quark and gluon helicity distributions.

Gluon dipole factorisation for diffractive dijets

E. Iancu et al.

Summary: In the colour dipole picture for deep inelastic scattering at small Bjorken x, the production of a pair of relatively hard jets via coherent diffraction is studied. It is found that the typical final-state configurations include a semi-hard gluon jet accompanying the hard quark-antiquark dijets. The presence of this third jet avoids the strong suppression of exclusive dijet production and ensures that the scattering is strong. Both the emission and scattering of the semi-hard gluon can be described in terms of an effective gluon-gluon dipole.

Complete calculation of exclusive heavy vector meson production at next-to-leading order in the dipole picture

Heikki Mantysaari et al.

Summary: In this study, exclusive production of transversely polarized heavy vector mesons in deep inelastic scattering at high energy is investigated within the Color Glass Condensate framework, and the corresponding next-to-leading order accuracy calculations are performed. The results show that this framework can be used for phenomenological calculations of heavy vector meson production, and a good agreement with experimental data is obtained. Additionally, it is found that vector meson production can provide additional constraints.

Dijet photoproduction at low x at next-to-leading order and its back-to-back limit

Pieter Taels et al.

Summary: In this study, the cross section for the inclusive photoproduction of a pair of jets is computed at next-to-leading order accuracy in the Color Glass Condensate (CGC) effective theory. The focus is on investigating the back-to-back limit to determine whether transverse momentum dependent (TMD) factorization can be achieved at this perturbative order. It is found that the kinematical improvement of the low-x resummation scheme plays a crucial role in the analysis.

Diffractive deep inelastic scattering at NLO in the dipole picture: The q(q)over-barg contribution

G. Beuf et al.

Summary: This study calculates the contribution of (q) over barg state production to the diffractive cross sections in high energy deep inelastic scattering. The obtained cross section is finite and part of the next-to-leading order result for the diffractive structure functions. The calculation is performed in exact kinematics in the eikonal limit, and the previously known results for high-Q(2) and large M-2 (X) structure functions can be extracted from the obtained results in the appropriate limits. The steps required to obtain the full next-to-leading order results for the structure functions are also discussed.

One-loop corrections to dihadron production in DIS at small x

Filip Bergabo et al.

Summary: In this study, we calculate the one-loop corrections to dihadron production in deep inelastic scattering (DIS) at small x using the color glass condensate formalism. We find that all UV and soft singularities cancel, while the collinear divergences are absorbed into fragmentation functions. Rapidity divergences lead to evolution of dipoles and quadrupoles describing multiple scatterings. The resulting cross section is finite and can be used for phenomenological studies of dihadron angular correlations at small x.

Summary: This study calculates the exclusive production of longitudinally polarized heavy vector mesons in the dipole picture at next-to-leading order, finding that the first QCD correction and the first relativistic correction are both numerically significant in J/psi production.
