Effect of Displacement Pressure on Oil-Water Relative Permeability for Extra-Low-Permeability Reservoirs

Qing Liu et al.

Summary: The oil-water relative permeability in extra-low-permeability reservoirs is influenced by pore throat size and pressure gradient. As displacement pressure increases, both oil and water relative permeability increase, leading to a decrease in residual oil saturation and an improvement in the range of two-phase flow zone.

Integrated Hierarchy-Correlation Model for Evaluating Water-Driven Oil Reservoirs

Xiaolong Chai et al.

Summary: This study introduces a comprehensive workflow for evaluating the influences on ultimate oil recovery in water-flooding oil reservoirs. By combining analytic hierarchy process, grey relation, and entropy weight, novel multivariable correlations are developed to predict production performance and validated against numerical reservoir simulations. The proposed method provides accurate predictions and can be a valuable tool for rapid production performance evaluation in water-flooding scenarios.

Simultaneous determination of gas-water relative permeability and capillary pressure from steady-state corefloods

S. Borazjani et al.

Summary: A novel method for simultaneous determination of relative phase permeability and capillary pressure from coreflood Steady-State Test has been proposed in this study, utilizing both steady-state and transient data. The stability of the algorithm has been checked and validated using laboratory data from gas-water systems.

Correction for capillary pressure influence on relative permeability by combining modified black oil model and Genetic Algorithm

Yuliang Su et al.

Summary: The study presents an innovative method to eliminate the influence of tight reservoir capillary pressure on relative permeability calculation using a modified numerical simulation model and Genetic Algorithm. By conducting experiments and optimizing, the initial relative permeability curves were successfully matched, resulting in increased absolute permeability and decreased residual water saturation for accurately obtaining the relative permeability curves of tight oil reservoirs.

Integrated Hierarchy-Correlation Model for Evaluating Water-Driven Oil Reservoirs

Xiaolong Chai et al.

Summary: This paper proposes a comprehensive workflow using an integrated hierarchy-correlation model to evaluate the influences of reservoir parameters on the ultimate oil recovery of water-flooding oil reservoirs. Multivariable linear and nonlinear correlations are utilized to predict production performance, showing close agreement with real-time simulation data and high accuracy.
