Epitaxial coordination assembly of a semi-conductive silver-chalcogenide layer-based MOF

Chun-Hua Gong et al.

Summary: This study achieved the epitaxial coordination assembly of a Ag-S layer into a three-dimensional semi-conductive framework using a carboxylic acid linker, showing high thermal stability and an interesting temperature-dependent luminescence response. It provides a new approach for preparing semi-conductive metal-chalcogenide layer-based materials in electricity-related applications.

Multiscale Assembly of [AgS4] Tetrahedrons into Hierarchical Ag-S Networks for Robust Photonic Water

Zhennan Wu et al.

Summary: An urgent need exists to assemble ultrasmall metal chalcogenides with atomic precision into functional materials with the necessary anisotropy and uniformity. A delicate chemistry has been developed to produce silver-sulfur network microplates with high monodispersity in size and morphology. The key to this assembly lies in a dense deprotonated ligand layer on the microplates, allowing further hierarchical self-assembly on the microscale.

Redox-Active Tin Metal-Organic Framework with a Thiolate-Based Ligand

Yoshinobu Kamakura et al.

Summary: This study reports the preparation and characterization of two Sn-MOF crystal structures, KGF-4 and KGF-10, with thiolates as coordinating functional groups. KGF-10, isolated as a pure phase, exhibits redox properties and a semiconducting band structure as confirmed by first-principles calculations.
