Implication of the W boson mass anomaly at CDF II in the Higgs triplet model with a mass difference

Shinya Kanemura et al.

Summary: A new report from the CDF II experiment shows a significant deviation in the measured mass of the W boson compared to the standard model prediction. While other high energy experiments have consistent results, the possibility of explaining this anomaly using the Higgs triplet model is discussed.

Revisiting type-II see-saw: present limits and future prospects at LHC

Saiyad Ashanujjaman et al.

Summary: This paper provides a natural explanation for the smallness of neutrino masses through the type-II see-saw mechanism based on the annexation of the Standard Model by weak gauge triplet scalar field. By studying the phenomenology of the non-degenerate triplet Higgs spectrum, the authors derive the most stringent lower limits on the mass of the doubly charged scalar for a wide model parameter space. These limits are stronger than those reported by previous direct collider searches and a specific region of parameter space beyond the reach of current LHC search strategies is also identified. Future limits are forecasted by extending an ATLAS search and an improved search strategy is proposed for a portion of the parameter space.

Type II seesaw model: Searching for the LHC-elusive low-mass triplet Higgs bosons at e-e+ colliders

Saiyad Ashanujjaman et al.

Summary: While the LHC searches have already ruled out tripletlike Higgses with masses up to a few hundred GeV for a large region of the model parameter space, there is still a region beyond the reach of these searches where doubly/singly charged and neutral Higgses as light as 200 GeV or even lighter are allowed. Our study focuses on different search strategies targeting different parts of this elusive parameter space at two configurations of e(-)e(+) colliders - 500 GeV and 1 TeV center of mass energies. We find that a significant portion of this parameter space could be probed with 5 sigma statistical significance, indicating discovery potential with early e(-)e(+) collider data.

Explanation of the W mass shift at CDF II in the extended Georgi-Machacek model

Ting-Kuo Chen et al.

Summary: The recent measurement of the mass of the W boson by the CDF II experiment deviates from the predicted value in the standard model, suggesting the existence of new physics. A possible explanation for this discrepancy is the nonaligned vacuum expectation values of isospin triplet scalar fields in the Georgi-Machacek model with custodial symmetry-breaking terms in the potential.

Tripling down on the W boson mass

Henning Bahl et al.

Summary: In this article, the implications of the new precision measurement of the W boson mass on the parameter space of the SU (2)(L) triplet extension of the Standard Model Higgs sector are studied. The study also includes an investigation of the compatibility with other electroweak precision observables and Higgs precision data. Additionally, the signals and cosmological implications of new Higgs states are comprehensively considered.

Discriminating the HTM and MLRSM models in collider studies via doubly charged Higgs boson pair production and the subsequent leptonic decays

Janusz Gluza et al.

Summary: This study investigates the production and decay of doubly charged Higgs bosons in the Higgs Triplet Model and Minimal Left-Right Symmetric Model. The mass of the H-+/-+/- particle in both models can reach hundreds of gigaelectronvolts, detectable at future colliders. The signals from four-lepton decays can be different between the two models, with the MLRSM showing the strongest signal.
