Assessment of cloth masks ability to limit Covid-19 particles spread: a systematic review

Summary: The study reviews and summarizes research on the effectiveness of fabric masks and various fabrics against the coronavirus. Cotton quilt, copy paper, a hybrid of cotton with chiffon/silk, and flannel filtration were found to be highly effective. Comparing different factors, hybrid masks, 2-layered cotton quilt, 2-layered 100% cotton, cotton flannel, and a combination of hairy tea towel + fleece sweater performed the best.

Which strategy for using medical and community masks? A prospective analysis of their environmental impact

Summary: The study examines the environmental impact of various face mask use strategies, finding that single-use masks have the highest environmental impact, while homemade cotton masks and prolonged use of medical masks have the lowest impact.
