Influence of a Supercritical Electric Dipole Moment on the Photodetachment of C3N-

Malcolm Simpson et al.

Summary: Threshold photodetachment spectroscopy of C3N- molecular ion shows temperature-dependent differences in cross section features, with a proposed model fitting well to the data. Additional features in the high-resolution scan are assigned to an electronic state with specific symmetry, in good agreement with computational predictions. The refinement of C3N's electron affinity value is also reported.
