Development and Validation of the General Dietary Behavior Inventory (GDBI) in Scope of International Nutrition Guidelines

Gerrit Engelmann et al.

Summary: Unhealthy eating habits are linked to various diseases, and there are currently no economical or behavior-related questionnaires available in German to assess general dietary behavior. This validation study aimed to develop and validate a new questionnaire based on international nutrition recommendations, with results confirming the instrument's construct and criterion validity. The General Dietary Behavior Inventory (GDBI) was found to be a validated and economical tool for assessing general dietary behavior, allowing for interventions to promote healthy eating habits in line with global nutrition guidelines.

Katy Tidbury et al.

Summary: This study aimed to evaluate the psychometric properties of an existing orthodontic satisfaction questionnaire and assess patient satisfaction with their orthodontic treatment. The questionnaire was revised based on expert panel assessment and item analysis, resulting in a 37-item scale measuring overall orthodontic satisfaction with good reliability. Test-retest reliability was found to be poor, and multiple regression analysis revealed ethnicity as a significant predictor of treatment satisfaction.
