Commissioning of the electron identification system for Dilepton measurement in collisions at J-PARC

Satomi Nakasuga et al.

Summary: This article presents the J-PARC E16 experiment, which aims to study the spectral modification of vector mesons in nuclear matter to investigate the partial restoration of chiral symmetry. Two-stage detectors, HBDs and LGs, were developed to separate electrons from hadronic backgrounds. Preliminary results show that these detectors exhibit good performance at high counting rates.

Global Polarization of Ξ and Ω Hyperons in Au plus Au Collisions at √SNN=200 GeV

J. Adam et al.

Summary: For the first time, global polarization of Xi and Omega hyperons was measured in Au + Au collisions at root S-NN= 200 GeV. The polarization of Xi was found to be slightly higher than that of Lambda, showing reasonable agreement with a multiphase transport model. Additionally, the polarization was observed to increase with increasing centrality, following the predicted vorticity dependence in the model.

Global Λ-hyperon polarization in Au plus Au collisions at √SNN=3 GeV

M. S. Abdallah et al.

Summary: The study found that the behavior of global hyperon polarization in low-energy collisions remains unknown. Experimental measurements in fixed-target mode showed significant polarization of Lambda hyperons in gold + gold collisions, which may require reevaluation of the viscosity of fluids created in collisions, the thermalization timescale of rotational modes, and hadronic mechanisms for producing global polarization.
