Summary: A straightforward synthesis of pyrimidines via Au(III) or Au(I)/Lewis-acid-catalyzed cascade reactions of propargylalcohols with 3-amino-benzo[d]isoxazoles is described. Highly selective 1,2-H or -R1 migrations are observed in most cases, and the migratory aptitude is dependent on the steric and electronic properties of the propargylic groups.

A novel three-position molecular switch based on the transformations of a cyano-substituted pyrrol-2-one derivative

The obtained result reveals a new research direction in the field of multicolor reversibly tunable molecular systems sensitive to several factors.

Novel Annulation of Cyanuric Chloride with 2-Aminobenzamides: A New Approach to 2-Amino-3-substituted Quinazolin-4(3H)-ones

Summary: This study describes a simple and efficient method for the preparation of 2-amino-3-substituted quinazolin-4(3H)-ones using cyanuric chloride and 2-amino N-substituted benzamides in acetonitrile-water with sodium bicarbonate as a mild base. The reaction was promoted by both organic and inorganic bases, with the best results seen with sodium bicarbonate. Additionally, this study is the first to observe cyanuric chloride as a source for creating amine functionality in 2-amino-3-substituted quinazolin-4(3H)-ones.

Synthesis of N-perfluoroalkyl-3,4-disubstituted pyrroles by rhodium-catalyzed transannulation of N-fluoroalkyl-1,2,3-triazoles with terminal alkynes

Summary: The rhodium-catalyzed transannulation reaction between N-perfluoroalkyl-1,2,3-triazoles and aromatic or aliphatic terminal alkynes under microwave heating conditions selectively produced N-perfluoroalkyl-3,4-disubstituted pyrroles as major products and N-fluoroalkyl-2,4-disubstituted pyrroles as minor products. High selectivity was observed particularly in reactions involving aliphatic alkynes.

These reactions also occur in the presence of a base, resulting in the same products but involving different reaction mechanisms.

Benzimidazole-1,2,3-triazole hybrid molecules: synthesis and study of their interaction with G-quadruplex DNA

Summary: A series of new benzimidazole-1,2,3-triazole hybrid derivatives were synthesized via 'click' reaction, with compound 4f showing high selectivity for G-quadruplex DNA and inducing G2/M phase arrest and apoptosis. Experimental results suggest that compound 4f may be a G-quadruplex DNA groove binding molecule with potential anticancer activity.
