Organic Synthetic Photonic Systems with Reconfigurable Parity-Time Symmetry Breaking for Tunable Single-Mode Microlasers

Chunhuan Zhang et al.

Summary: Synthetic photonic materials exploiting PT symmetry are revolutionizing the photonic sciences. However, current PT-symmetric microcavity laser systems suffer from limited laser spectral bandwidth. In this study, a reconfigurable PT-symmetric microcavity system with controllable complex refractive indices is proposed using an organic composite material system and a grayscale electron-beam direct-writing technique. The introduction of organic photoisomerizable compounds enables dynamically tunable single-mode laser output.

An Optically Reconfigurable Forster Resonance Energy Transfer Process for Broadband Switchable Organic Single Mode Microlasers

Chan Qiao et al.

Summary: This research proposes an optically reconfigurable Forster resonance energy transfer (FRET) process to achieve broadband switchable single-mode laser output. By in-situ activation of acceptors and modulating the stoichiometric ratio of the donor and acceptor, dynamically switchable laser output is achieved, and dual-color switchable single-mode lasers are successfully realized.

Polariton Dynamics in Two-Dimensional Ruddlesden-Popper Perovskites Strongly Coupled with Plasmonic Lattices

Jeong-Eun Park et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the dynamics of hybridized states from 2D Ruddlesden-Popper perovskites coupled to plasmonic nanoparticle lattices. The coupling strength can be modulated by varying the perovskite film thickness or the superstrate refractive index. The study shows that both upper and lower polaritons have shorter lifetimes than excitons and polaritons exhibit faster excited-state dynamics when they have access to additional energy transfer channels.
