A hierarchical porous carbon aerogel embedded with small-sized TiO2 nanoparticles for high-performance Li-S batteries

Chenguang Shi et al.

Summary: A hierarchical porous carbon aerogel embedded with small-sized TiO2 nanoparticles (HPCA-TO) was prepared for enhancing the performance of lithium-sulfur batteries. The HPCA-TO effectively suppressed the shuttle effect of polysulfides and improved the conversion kinetics of polysulfides. The modified Li-S batteries exhibited high initial discharge capacity and excellent rate capability.
