Pulse shape analysis in GERDA Phase II

Calibration of the GERDA experiment

Summary: The Gerda collaboration used a array of about 40 high-purity isotopically-enriched germanium detectors to search for neutrinoless double-beta decay in Ge-76. By monitoring energy resolution and stability using data from regular Th-228 calibrations, they managed to successfully describe the calibration process and associated data analysis of the full GERDA dataset, tailored to maintain the excellent resolution of the individual germanium detectors when combining data over several years.
