Summary: This case report highlights the potential severe neuromuscular consequences of advanced and chronic autoimmune hypothyroidism. While prompt thyroid hormone replacement therapy resolved the myopathy, the patient experienced incomplete recovery from mixed axonal and demyelinating neuropathy, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and intervention for hypothyroidism.
