The Integrated Sachs Wolfe effect: unWISE and Planck constraints on dynamical dark energy

Alex Krolewski et al.

Summary: In this paper, the Integrated Sachs-Wolfe (ISW) effect is detected using cross-correlations between unWISE infrared galaxies and Planck CMB temperature maps. The study provides constraints on both the dark energy domination era and the transition into matter domination, and improves constraints on the time evolution of dark energy. The ISW measurement also provides an important independent check on the theory of gravity.

Challenges for ACDM: An update

L. Perivolaropoulos et al.

Summary: In recent years, challenges to the standard ACDM model have been emerging as cosmological observations improve. This review discusses various signals in cosmological and astrophysical data that are in tension with the standard ACDM model, such as the Hubble tension, growth tension, and lensing amplitude anomaly, as well as other less-discussed signals that may hint towards new physics. The goal is to provide an update on the current status of these signals, particularly the Hubble tension, and refer readers to additional resources for more details.

A Comprehensive Measurement of the Local Value of the Hubble Constant with 1 km s-1 Mpc-1 Uncertainty from the Hubble Space Telescope and the SH0ES Team

Adam G. Riess et al.

Summary: This study reports observations of Cepheid variables in the host galaxies of 42 Type Ia supernovae (SNe Ia) using the Hubble Space Telescope (HST) to calibrate the Hubble constant (H (0)). The observations were collected over four decades and significantly improved the precision of the direct determination of H (0). The study presented multiple verifications of Cepheid photometry and explored different analysis variants to assess the sensitivity of H (0) determination. The baseline result for H (0) was found to be 73.04 +/- 1.04 km s(-1) Mpc(-1).

The Pantheon plus Analysis: Cosmological Constraints

Dillon Brout et al.

Summary: This study presents constraints on cosmological parameters based on 1701 light curves of 1550 distinct Type Ia supernovae. By increasing the sample size, improving systematic uncertainty treatments, and adding cross-calibrated photometric systems, the cosmological constraining power has been significantly improved. The results indicate a consistent cosmological constant and provide precise measurements on the evolution of dark energy.

Skewness as a test of dark energy perturbations

Raquel Emy Fazolo et al.

Summary: This study investigates the role of dark energy perturbations in the skewness S-3 of large-scale matter distribution. A two-fluid universe composed of matter and dark energy, with perturbations in both components, is considered. The skewness of the matter density field is numerically estimated as a function of the dark energy parameters. The study characterizes the S-3 value for quintessence and phantom dark energy cosmologies, and its dependence on the matter density parameter and the dark energy sound speed, providing accurate numerical fitting. These fits can be used to test cosmology against future high-quality data on large-scale structure.

Constraints on bimetric gravity from Big Bang nucleosynthesis

Marcus Hogas et al.

Summary: Bimetric gravity, as a ghost-free extension of general relativity, provides constraints on the expansion history of the Universe using observed abundances of light elements. Constraints on theory parameters in bimetric gravity, such as the mixing angle between massless and massive gravitons, are complementary to other cosmological probes and show a significant improvement in accuracy.

Dark Energy with Phantom Crossing and the H0 Tension

Eleonora Di Valentino et al.

Summary: The study found that constraints from different combinations of data are consistent with each other and all support phantom crossing in the dark energy sector. The combined data is in agreement with the local measurement by Riess et al.

Constraints on bimetric gravity. Part II. Observational constraints

Marcus Hogas et al.

Summary: Ghost-free bimetric gravity theory involves two interacting spin-2 fields, providing observational constraints on parameters and demonstrating a continuous background cosmology. In cosmology, bimetric cosmology fits data well, with the best-fit model being a self-accelerating solution driven by the dynamical massive spin-2 field.

Completed SDSS-IV extended Baryon Oscillation Spectroscopic Survey: Cosmological implications from two decades of spectroscopic surveys at the Apache Point Observatory

Shadab Alam et al.

Summary: Based on the final measurements of clustering using galaxies, quasars, and Ly alpha forests from the SDSS lineage, this study provides comprehensive cosmological implications. The BAO data alone can rule out dark-energy-free models, and when combined with other measurements, significant improvements are made on constraining cosmological parameters within the ΛCDM model. The results indicate that various parameter extensions remain consistent with a ΛCDM model in a combined analysis, showing precision changes of less than 0.6% in key parameters.
