Being well? A meta-ethnography of older patients and their relatives' descriptions of suffering and well-being in the transition from hospital to home

Aline Dragosits et al.

Summary: With the decrease in average length of hospital stay, more and more older patients rely on their relatives for support during and after the hospital transition. However, there is a lack of in-depth understanding of the suffering and well-being experienced by older patients and their relatives in the transition from hospital to home. This study aims to examine this on a deeper, existential level by drawing on existing phenomenological research.
