A new acridine donor with trispiro junctions was developed to assemble a highly efficient thermally activated delayed fluorescence emitter. The multispiro junctions ensure a rigid geometry that leads to a well-suppressed nonradiative decay. The resulting electroluminescent devices achieve a high external quantum efficiency of 34.2%.
