Baseline Radiomic Signature to Estimate Overall Survival in Patients With NSCLC

Laurent Dercle et al.

Summary: In this study, a baseline radiomic signature associated with overall survival (OS) in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) was defined using baseline computed tomography (CT) images. The study included NSCLC patients treated with nivolumab, who were divided into training, calibration, and validation sets. The results showed that the baseline radiomic signature provides an early prediction of expected OS in NSCLC patients treated with nivolumab or chemotherapy.

An imaging signature to predict outcome in metastatic colorectal cancer using routine computed tomography scans

Laurent Dercle et al.

Summary: Quantitative analysis of CT scans can predict overall survival in mCRC patients. The study demonstrates that a signature combining tumor volume change, tumor spatial heterogeneity change, and tumor volume has prognostic value for OS.

Early Readout on Overall Survival of Patients With Melanoma Treated With Immunotherapy Using a Novel Imaging Analysis

Laurent Dercle et al.

Summary: This study validates the use of a radiomic signature derived from quantitative CT imaging features for estimating overall survival in patients with advanced melanoma treated with immunotherapy. The signature shows promising performance in predicting future OS probability, providing valuable information for treatment decisions.

Cancer health disparities in racial/ethnic minorities in the United States

Valentina A. Zavala et al.

Summary: There are significant disparities in cancer incidence and outcomes by race/ethnicity, influenced by structural, socioeconomic, socio-environmental, behavioural, and biological factors. Research has mainly focused on populations of European origin, with limitations in clinical and genetic data potentially widening health disparities.

Radiomics in predicting treatment response in non-small-cell lung cancer: current status, challenges and future perspectives

Madhurima R. Chetan et al.

Summary: The review summarized the current status of radiomics research in predicting treatment response in non-small-cell lung cancer, indicating low quality, lack of reproducibility, and limited clinical evaluation. Efforts towards standardization and collaboration are necessary to identify reproducible radiomic predictors of response. Promising radiomic models need external validation and evaluation within the clinical pathway before being implemented for personalized treatment in NSCLC patients.

Development and Validation of a Computed Tomography-Based Radiomics Signature to Predict Response to Neoadjuvant Chemotherapy for Locally Advanced Gastric Cancer

Wei Wang et al.

Summary: Neoadjuvant therapies have been shown to improve outcomes in locally advanced gastric cancer patients. This study used pretreatment CT images and radiomics to identify relevant features that can predict treatment response, showing promising results in both training and validation cohorts.
