The 3-dimensional distribution of quarks in momentum space

Summary: We present the distribution of unpolarized quarks in a transversely polarized proton in three-dimensional momentum space. Our results are based on the extractions of the unpolarized and Sivers transverse momentum dependent parton distributions (TMDs) in a fully consistent TMD framework.

PDF bias and flavor dependence in TMD distributions

Marcin Bury et al.

Summary: Transverse momentum dependent (TMD) distributions match collinear parton density functions (PDF) in the limit of small transverse distances. The influence of collinear PDF value and uncertainties on the determination of unpolarized TMD distributions and the description of Drell-Yan (DY) and Z-boson production measurements at low transverse momenta is studied. It is found that both collinear PDF uncertainties and non-perturbative TMD flavor dependence are essential for obtaining reliable TMD determinations and should be included in future global analyses.

Unpolarized transverse momentum distributions from a global fit of Drell-Yan and semi-inclusive deep-inelastic scattering data

Alessandro Bacchetta et al.

Summary: We present an accurate description of unpolarized transverse-momentum-dependent parton distribution and fragmentation functions based on a large number of experimental data points. Using the Monte Carlo replica method and resumming large logarithms at high accuracy, we achieve a very good fit to the data.

Toward three-dimensional nucleon structures at the Electron-Ion Collider in China: A study of the Sivers function

Chunhua Zeng et al.

Summary: This paper investigates the impact of future SIDIS data from EicC on the extraction of TMDs, using the Sivers function as an example. By performing a combined analysis of world data and EicC simulated data, it quantitatively demonstrates that Sivers functions can be precisely determined for various quark flavors, especially sea quarks, in the region directly covered by EicC, with x > 0.005.

Global analysis of the Sivers functions at NLO plus NNLL in QCD

Miguel G. Echevarria et al.

Summary: The study performed a global fit to the quark Sivers function, showing excellent agreement with experimental data in SIDIS and Drell-Yan processes, but tension arose when describing W/Z bosons at RHIC. It is found that the sensitivity to the DGLAP evolution of Qiu-Sterman function can strongly impact the description of W/Z vector boson asymmetry data.

The Drell-Yan process with pions and polarized nucleons

S. Bastami et al.

Summary: The study calculates structure functions for the pion-induced Drell-Yan process, using inputs from the light-front constituent quark model and the spectator model. The implementation of TMD evolution for all asymmetries at Next-to-Leading Logarithmic precision is a first in this field. Results are in line with experimental data, aiding in data interpretation and future model assessment.

Extraction of the Sivers function from SIDIS, Drell-Yan, and W±/Z boson production data with TMD evolution

Summary: A global fit was performed to extract the Sivers function for u, d, s, and sea quarks, as well as determine the Qiu-Sterman function in a model-independent way. The study also included additional aspects such as estimating applicability region, impact of unpolarized distributions' uncertainties, universality of Sivers functions, and comparing with existing extractions.
