Proton lifetime in minimal SUSY SU(5) in light of LHC results

K. S. Babu et al.

Summary: In this study, we investigate proton decay mediated by color-triplet Higgsinos in the minimal supersymmetric SU(5) grand unified theory, taking into account the discovery of the Higgs boson and the absence of SUSY signals at the LHC. We pay special attention to various threshold effects and their impact on the color-triplet Higgsino mass and the mass relations for light fermions.

Upper limit on the proton lifetime in minimal supersymetric SU(5)

Jason L. Evans et al.

Summary: In minimal supersymmetric SU(5) models, the decay of proton through dimension 5 operators, which is directly dependent on supersymmetric soft masses, is constrained by other observables. By performing a random scan over the variables of the constrained minimal supersymmetric SU(5) model, it is found that the proton lifetime can be within reach of JUNO and Hyper-Kamiokande's experiment.

Proton decay matrix elements on the lattice at physical pion mass

Jun-Sik Yoo et al.

Summary: Proton decay is a key prediction of grand-unified theories (GUT) and its observation is important for understanding baryon number violation. By performing nonperturbative calculations on a lattice, we have determined the matrix elements for proton decay, which help resolve the ambiguity in ruling out certain simple GUT theories due to quark mass dependence of hadron structure.

Minimal SU(6) gauge-Higgs grand unification

Andrei Angelescu et al.

Summary: In this paper, we present a minimal viable gauge-Higgs grand unification scenario in warped space based on a SU(6) bulk symmetry. The issue of light exotic new states is eliminated by breaking the gauge symmetry on the UV and IR boundaries, and the Standard Model fermion spectrum is naturally reproduced. The Higgs potential at one loop is computed and solutions with a realistic m(h) similar to 125 GeV are found.

JUNO physics and detector

Summary: The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory (JUNO) is a 20 kton liquid scintillator detector located 700 meters underground, with excellent energy resolution and a large fiducial volume. It offers exciting opportunities for studying neutrino and astro-particle physics. The construction and design of JUNO are challenging, but it provides potential for significant scientific research.

Search for squarks and gluinos in final states with jets and missing transverse momentum using 139 fb-1 of √s=13 TeV pp collision data with the ATLAS detector

M. Aaboud et al.

Summary: This study presents a search for the supersymmetric partners of quarks and gluons (squarks and gluinos) in final states containing jets and missing transverse momentum, excluding electrons or muons. Results showed exclusion limits on the mass of the gluino and squark masses, significantly expanding the region of supersymmetric parameter space previously excluded by similar searches with the ATLAS detector.

GUT-scale constrained SUSY in light of new muon g-2 measurement

Summary: The latest Fermilab results combined with BNL results show a 4.2 sigma deviation in the muon g-2 result from the Standard Model. By utilizing new data on muon g-2, various SUSY models constrained by GUT scale were re-examined, along with discussions on their extensions under different conditions.
