CIBERSORT analysis of TCGA and METABRIC identifies subgroups with better outcomes in triple negative breast cancer

Kelly E. Craven et al.

Summary: Studies have shown that the presence of tumor infiltrating lymphocytes (TILs) in Triple Negative Breast Cancer (TNBC) is associated with better prognosis. However, the molecular mechanisms underlying these immune cell differences are not well delineated. CIBERSORT analysis demonstrated that increased CD8 T cells or CD8 plus CD4 memory activated T cells and gamma delta T cells are associated with improved overall survival in TNBC.

Potential Impact of ALKBH5 and YTHDF1 on Tumor Immunity in Colon Adenocarcinoma

Guanyu Yan et al.

Summary: ALKBH5 and YTHDF1 impact the immune contexture in patients with COAD and have the potential to transform cold tumors into hot tumors. Cluster 2, characterized by higher ALKBH5 expression and lower YTHDF1 expression, showed stronger immune infiltration, higher expression of ICI targets, higher TMB, and a higher proportion of dMMR-MSI-H status compared to Cluster 1. Weighted gene co-expression network analysis revealed genes related to both ALKBH5/YTHDF1 expression and immune scores.

Robust rank aggregation and cibersort algorithm applied to the identification of key genes in head and neck squamous cell cancer

Tingting Chen et al.

Summary: In this study, the Robust Rank Aggregation method and cibersort algorithm accurately predicted potential prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for HNSCC using multiple GEO datasets. The identified DEGs and hub genes, particularly AURKA, BIRC5, and UBE2C, have shown promise as potential prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets for HNSCC. The infiltration of immune cells in HNSCC was also analyzed, contributing to a better understanding of the tumor microenvironment in HNSCC.
