Graphene-based H-shaped biosensor with high sensitivity and optimization using ML-based algorithm

Shobhit K. Patel et al.

Summary: This paper presents a biosensing absorber based on a phase transition material, Ge2Sb2Te5 (GST). The infrared absorption characteristics of the suggested absorber are examined by studying different phases of the GST substrate. The graphene-GST material is used for spectrum tuning, and the sensitivity of hemoglobin and urine biomolecules is computed based on wavelength shifts. Regression models are used to estimate absorption values for intermediate wavelengths, achieving high accuracy.

Optimization of Metamaterial-Based Solar Energy Absorber for Enhancing Solar Thermal Energy Conversion Using Artificial Intelligence

Shobhit K. Patel et al.

Summary: A highly efficient psi-shaped solar energy absorber has been developed, which achieves a near-perfect ultrawideband absorption spectrum under solar radiation. The absorber has an average absorption of 97.04% in the observed range and achieves absorption rates above 90% and 95% for bandwidths of 3730 nm and 2500 nm, respectively. It has a polarization-insensitive absorption response and is wide-angle from 0 degrees to 50 degrees. Experiments show that using a random restart hill climbing optimization approach can significantly reduce the computing power and time requirements of the simulation process by 97.57%.

Graphene-based metasurface solar absorber design for the visible and near-infrared region with behavior prediction using Polynomial Regression

Shobhit K. Patel et al.

Summary: This study develops a broadband graphene absorber design for the visible and near-infrared regime. By placing a gold resonator over an MgF2 substrate and sandwiching a graphene spacer between the substrate and resonator layer, the absorption response is increased. The proposed structures are validated and the absorptance response is improved by varying various parameters.
