Ultra-strong optical four-wave mixing signal induced by strong exciton-phonon and exciton-plasmon couplings

Qing-Qing Guo et al.

Summary: We propose a scheme to generate ultra-strong four-wave mixing (FWM) signal using a suspended monolayer graphene nanoribbon nanomechanical resonator (NR) coupled to an Au nanoparticle (NP). The FWM spectrum can switch between two-peaked, three-peaked, four-peaked, or five-peaked by modulating the exciton-phonon and exciton-plasmon couplings. The findings offer insights into measuring the vibrational frequency of NR and the exciton-phonon coupling strength, as well as the fabrication of high-performance optoelectronic nanodevices.

Tunable van Hove singularities and correlated states in twisted monolayer-bilayer graphene

Shuigang Xu et al.

Summary: The study of electronic transport properties of twisted monolayer-bilayer graphene reveals highly tunable van Hove singularities that can cause strong correlation effects under optimum conditions by changing the twist angle or applying an electric field. This demonstrates the potential for correlated insulating states in a structure of monolayer and bilayer graphene with a small twist between them.

Enhancement of near-field thermal radiation of semiconductor vanadium dioxide covered by graphene

Wang Bo et al.

Summary: Near-field thermal radiation refers to the radiation generated by two radiators in a narrow gap, which can be significantly enhanced by optimizing the radiator structures, selecting radiation materials, and adjusting physical parameters. Research shows that the structure with graphene-covered vanadium dioxide film exhibits stronger near-field thermal radiation effects.
