Acute effects of ambient air pollution on clinic visits of college students for upper respiratory tract infection in Wuhan, China

Summary: This study found a significant association between air pollutants and URTI clinic visits among college students in Wuhan, China. Gaseous pollutants like SO2 and NO2 had stronger negative impacts on health compared to solid pollutants like PM2.5 and PM10. Males were more vulnerable to PM10 and O-3, while females were more vulnerable to SO2 and NO2 exposure.
