Fabrication of gamma-In2Se3-Based Photodetector Using RF Magnetron Sputtering and Investigations of Its Temperature-Dependent Properties

Double Schottky metal-semiconductor-metal based GaN photodetectors with improved response using laser MBE technique

Summary: This study demonstrates the fabrication of GaN-based ultraviolet metal-semiconductor-metal (MSM) photodetectors on Si(111) substrate using the Laser MBE technique. The effect of electrodes on the observed UV photoresponse was investigated by fabricating MSM photodetectors with Au, Pd, and ITO contacts. The results showed that ITO is the best-suited electrode material for the fabrication of photodetectors with high detectivity, sensitivity, and low dark current.

Annealing temperature effect on structural and optoelectronic properties of γ-In2Se3 thin films towards highly stable photodetector applications

Summary: Metal chalcogenide-based photodetectors have been extensively studied, but their performance is still unsatisfactory. In this work, thin films of Indium selenide (gamma-In2Se3) were synthesized using RF magnetron sputtering technique. The effects of annealing temperature on the properties of the synthesized thin films were thoroughly investigated. The results showed that higher annealing temperature improved the crystalline quality and optical properties of the films. Photodetectors fabricated using the synthesized gamma-In2Se3 thin films exhibited excellent stability, repeatability, and photoresponsivity.

Monolithic epitaxy and optoelectronic properties of single-crystalline γ-In2Se3 thin films on mica*

Summary: The growth of single-crystalline γ-In2Se3 thin films on mica at a relatively low temperature is achieved using molecular beam epitaxy. An ultrathin β-In2Se3 buffer layer is observed to facilitate the subsequent epitaxial growth of single-crystalline γ-In2Se3 at low temperatures. The resulting γ-In2Se3 thin films exhibit strong room-temperature photoluminescence and moderate optoelectronic response.

Effects of annealing process on the structural and photodetection properties of new thin-film solar-blind UV sensor based on Si-photonics technology
