Reservoir quality discrimination of the Albian-Cenomanian reservoir sequences in the Ivorian basin: a lithological and petrophysical study

Isaac Fea et al.

Summary: This study provides a detailed analysis of the lithologic composition, flow and storage capacities, and reservoir quality parameters of the Albian-Cenomanian reservoirs in the Ivorian sedimentary basin. The study reveals that the reservoirs in the eastern part of the basin have higher heterogeneity due to diagenetic factors such as cementation, silicification, authigenic clay minerals, and compaction. However, the reservoir quality in the eastern part of the basin improves due to increased grain size and interstitial pore types.
