Chemical Profile and Antimicrobial Activity of the Essential Oils of Helichrysum arenarium (L.) Moench. and Helichrysum italicum (Roth.) G. Don

Summary: This study compared the essential oil composition of Helichrysum arenarium and H. italicum, and found differences between them. The main constituents in H. arenarium essential oil were alpha-pinene and sabinene, while neryl acetate and beta-himachalene were predominant in H. italicum. The essential oils introduced from different countries also exhibited variations in composition, but the oils from France and Corsica showed similar chemical composition and antimicrobial activity.

Usage patterns of aromatherapy essential oil among Chinese consumers
