2.4 ng/ √Hz low-noise fiber-optic MEMS seismic accelerometer

Ziqiang Qu et al.

Summary: This paper introduces a fiber-optic microelectromechanical system (MEMS) seismic-grade accelerometer fabricated using photoresist/silicon dioxide composite masking technology. The proposed sensor employs a light intensity detection method based on Fabry-Perot interference (FPI) for displacement transduction. Experimental results show that it has a lower overall noise floor and displacement noise floor, making it promising for high-performance seismic exploration applications.

Correlated Double Amplifying Readout Technique for Low-Noise Power-Efficient MEMS Capacitive Accelerometer

Longjie Zhong et al.

Summary: This article proposes a correlated double amplifying (CDA) technique to reduce the noise of voltage control readout circuit and improve power efficiency. Compared with traditional correlated double sampling (CDS) technique, CDA technique does not sacrifice driving ability and bandwidth. The experimental results demonstrate that CDA technique can improve power efficiency while maintaining low cost.

A Low 1/f Noise Tunnel Magnetoresistance Accelerometer

Yuyu Hou et al.

Summary: This study demonstrates a new principle that combines acceleration sensing and 1/f noise suppression to minimize the 1/f noise of TMR accelerometers. By analyzing the elasto-magneto-electric conversion theory and proposing a modulation methodology based on periodically biased magnetic field, it is shown that the 1/f noise of TMR accelerometers can be effectively minimized. Experimental results confirm that the sensitivity of acceleration sensing can reach 8.2 mV/g and the 1/f noise can be reduced by at least 80 times.
