Summary: The increasing adoption of clean energy technologies has led to the evolution of traditional electricity markets into Distributed Energy Trading (DET) systems. Blockchain technology has the potential to provide decentralised trust, immutability, security, and transparency in DET systems. However, the integration of blockchain in DET systems faces technical, administrative, standardisation, and economic barriers, which need to be addressed.

Summary: The emergence of IoT and DERs has led to the development of collaborative communities that manage energy production and consumption through P2P DET. To address the issue of distributed trust, blockchain technology is considered a promising solution. However, current blockchain platforms compromise on scalability and privacy. In this work, we propose a hypergraph-based adaptive consortium blockchain framework that addresses these challenges and supports interoperability between network clusters.

Summary: Decarbonization of energy systems has been a trend in the past two decades, with large-scale renewable energy sources integrated into modern power systems. Countries have implemented new energy policy instruments, such as Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), to promote the growth of renewable energy. To ensure the origin and security of REC trading, digital technologies like artificial intelligence and distributed ledger technology are crucial.
