Mixed convective cilia triggered stream of magneto ternary nanofluid through elastic electroosmotic pump: A comparative entropic analysis

Sufian Munawar et al.

Summary: The integration of ternary nanofluid with micro-pump heat sink for heat exclusion is studied in this work. Theoretical thermal analysis is conducted to investigate the mixed convective transport of radiated magneto ternary fluid through an electroosmotic pump. The use of biomimetic cilia on the pump surface is proposed to achieve efficient mixing and effective pumping. The ternary nanofluid, consisting of TiO2, SiO2, and Al2O3 nanoparticles mixed with blood, shows superior thermal efficiency and the ability to minimize heat losses compared to binary and unary nanofluids. The exergy analysis further confirms the enhanced heat transfer rate of the ternary nanofluid, especially at a smaller Hartmann number of 0.5.

Farhat Bibi et al.

Summary: This study models the peristaltic flow of Sisko material with variable characteristics of thermal conductivity and viscosity, considering space and temperature dependency. Conservation laws, entropy factors, and series solutions are used to analyze the behaviors of velocity and temperature against pertinent parameters. Results show that velocity increases with larger viscosity parameter, while temperature decreases.

Entropy Analysis for Cilia-Generated Motion of Cu-Blood Flow of Nanofluid in an Annulus

Arshad Riaz et al.

Summary: A novel model for studying the entropy generation effects in Cu-blood flow of a nanofluid under ciliary-oriented motion was proposed, taking into account viscous dissipation and incorporating low Reynolds number and long-wavelength phenomena. The study found that heat absorption parameter and Brownian motion had a significant impact on thermal transfer rate, with entropy effects becoming more pronounced with intense flow. The research could be beneficial in medical science due to the vital roles cilia play in human tissues and key organs, and the readings provided by the annulus-shaped geometry used in medical equipment like endoscopes.

Entropy analysis in ciliary transport of radiated hybrid nanofluid in presence of electromagnetohydrodynamics and activation energy

Najma Saleem et al.

Summary: This theoretical study examines the entropy of hybrid nanofluids flow driven by cilia beating, with the introduction of electroosmosis and magnetohydrodynamics in the model. The impacts of electric double layer and Hartmann number on cooling and diffusion enhancement processes are significant. High electric potential can reduce entropy during the radiated hybrid nanofluids flow, supporting mass diffusion and regulating thermal effects.

Najma Saleem et al.

Summary: This study examines the second law analysis of double diffusive cilia on the transport of a hybrid nanofluid through an electroosmotic pump, exploring the effects of electric potential and cilia length on flow characteristics. The results show that elevated electric potential and prolonged cilia can promote fluid flow propagation, while higher electroosmotic parameters enhance fluid flow. The presence of cilia supports micro-mixing activity in the fluid, as well as mass dispersion and heat control.
