Comparison and influence of metal dopants on the opto-electrical, microstructure and gas sensing properties of nanostructured indium oxide films

Fatemeh Ghasemi et al.

Summary: Thin films of pure and doped indium oxide (In2O3) were grown by thermal evaporation and studied for their characteristics. The films doped with 3% Ag showed the highest roughness and sensitivity to ethanol vapor. The results indicated that the presence of metal impurities affected the optical, microstructural, and gas sensing parameters of the samples.

Electrodeposition of Indium from an Ionic Liquid Investigated by In Situ Electrochemical XPS

Zhen Liu et al.

Summary: The electrochemical behavior and electrodeposition of indium in an electrolyte composed of 0.1 mol/L InCl3 in [Py-1,Py-4]TFSI were studied on a gold electrode. The results revealed complex electrochemical behavior with multiple reduction and oxidation peaks. In situ XPS analysis showed that In(I) was the intermediate species during the reduction process. The presence of Cl- oxidation was also observed in the anodic regime.

Metal-organic framework-derived Cr-doped hollow In2O3 nanoboxes with excellent gas-sensing performance toward ammonia

Jin Sun et al.

Summary: The Cr-doped In2O3 samples synthesized by calcining metal-organic frameworks (MOFs)-precursors exhibit uniform hollow nanoboxes with large specific surface areas, and the 0.5 wt% Cr-doped In2O3 sample shows excellent gas sensing performance for NH3. The sensor has low operating temperature, high selectivity, good repeatability, relatively high response, low detection concentration, and short response time.

Enhanced NO2 gas sensing properties based on Rb-doped hierarchical flower-like In2O3 microspheres at low temperature

Yongguang Wang et al.

Summary: Rb-doped hierarchical flower-like In2O3 microspheres were synthesized and their gas sensing properties were systematically investigated. Sensors based on Rb-doped In2O3 exhibited ultrahigh response to NO2 and a low detection limit. The excellent performance was mainly attributed to its high specific surface area and novel structure.

Structural, Magnetic and Gas Sensing Activity of Pure and Cr Doped In2O3 Thin Films Grown by Pulsed Laser Deposition

Kamatam Hari Prasad et al.

Summary: Pure In2O3 and 6% Cr-doped In2O3 thin films were prepared on a silicon substrate by pulsed laser deposition. The doped In2O3 film showed lower band gap energy, higher transmittance, and higher sensitivity to NH3 gas due to the presence of oxygen defects. The magnetic hysteresis loop confirmed the ferromagnetic behavior of the prepared films with a maximum saturation value for Cr-doped In2O3 film.
