Janus-Structural AIE Nanofiber with White Light Emission and Stimuli-Response

Shikun Zhao et al.

Summary: White-light emitting elastomers (WLEEs) based on stimuli-responsive aggregation-induced emission (AIE) and regulated Forster resonance energy transfer (FRET) have great potential in the field of wearable optoelectronic devices. In this study, blue and orange AIEgens with different environmental sensitivities are successfully synthesized and encapsulated on both sides of nanofibers to achieve the Janus WLEEs. By regulating the ratio of blue-orange AIEgens, efficient and stable white light emission is achieved. The Janus-NFs also exhibit super stretchability and sensitivity to stretching deformation, allowing for visualization of the microstructure evolution during stretching. Additionally, the Janus-NFs show sensitivity to HCl and NH3, with fluorescence color changing above certain concentrations. The promising applications of white light Janus-NFs in smart fabrics, warning sensors, and anti-counterfeiting packaging are demonstrated. This finding provides an efficient strategy for achieving wearable WLEEs with multiple functionalities, promoting the development of wearable devices.

Color tunable of Ln-MOFs (Ln = Tb, Eu) and excellent stability for white light-emitting diode

Qian Zhang et al.

Summary: This study synthesized Ln-MOFs phosphors with tunable luminescence color and applied them in white LEDs. The emission color of the phosphors can be modulated by changing the molar ratio of the raw materials. Ln-MOFs showed excellent thermal stability and achieved white light emission when mixed with blue phosphors.
