Minimally invasive 'pull technique' for peritoneal dialysis catheter removal

Jian Wang et al.

Summary: The pull technique, a simple and noninvasive method for removing peritoneal dialysis (PD) catheters, has gained popularity in recent years. This method was successfully applied in 24 patients without any complications such as breakage or cuff infection during the follow-up period. The pull technique proves to be a safe and practical approach for PD catheter removal, especially in special cases like peritonitis or patients on immunosuppressants.
