Rhodium-catalyzed highly regio-and enantioselective hydroamination of allenes is reported. Exclusive branched selectivities and excellent enantioselectivities were achieved applying a rhodium(I)/Josiphos catalyst. This method permits the practical synthesis of valuable alpha-chiral allylic amines using benzophenone imine as ammonia carrier.
