High-performance MnO2@MXene/carbon nanotube fiber electrodes with internal and external construction for supercapacitors

Summary: In this study, a hybrid fiber with excellent energy storage properties is demonstrated. Continuous fiber electrode material is produced by spinning anhydrous MXene and liquid crystal carbon nanotubes, solving the problem of poor rate capability caused by MXene re-stacking. MnO2@MXene/CNT fibers are prepared by electrochemical deposition, achieving an excellent capacitance. A symmetric fiber supercapacitor is assembled, showing superior cycling stability after 10000 cycles.
