Centimetre-scale CH3NH3PbI3 perovskite single crystals of high structural quality are grown by a new versatile method based on the use of a binary solvent mixture at a temperature as low as 70 degrees C. The growth rate is fast enough for a millimeter scale seed crystal to grow to the centimeter scale in a few hours.
