An Energy-optimized Embedded load balancing using DVFS computing in Cloud Data centers

HybCon: A Scalable SDN-Based Distributed Cloud Architecture for 5G Networks

Summary: As data traffic increases, Software-defined Networking (SDN) is considered as the most viable solution to overcome the limitations of traditional networks. SDN's separation of control and data planes enables numerous new and promising applications for 5G networks. However, the use of a single controller in initial SDN deployments can be counterproductive in large-scale and ultra-reliable networks. To address this, multi-controller architectures – flat, hierarchical, and hybrid – and efficient path computation and flow table update mechanisms are proposed. In this paper, a hybrid SDN-based distributed cloud architecture called HybCon is introduced, which outperforms existing schemes in terms of computation time, latency, packet delivery ratio, and communication overhead.

Simulation experiments show the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm and its time complexity guarantee for large-scale networks.
